Barefoot Basics has evolved out of wanting to solve hoofcare problems in a natural way. The barefoot advice and information contained within this website is what has worked for us and our friends, and we hope it can be useful for you too. Please click on the links above to enter the site.

We don't subscribe to a particular trimming method, we are interested in all methods as long as they 'do no harm.'

Peter Laidely Clinics - October 2008

Friday 10th October - Course 1 Hoof Care For Owners. Introduction to barefoot, ideal for owners of barefoot horses, or for people interested in the idea of taking their horse barefoot. Cost £75 including lunch and refreshments.

Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th October - Course 2 Introduction To Trimming For Owners. Hands on trimming, including safe hoof and tool handling. Idea for people that would like to start trimming their own horses, or undertake interim trims between trimmer/farrier visits. Cost £150 including lunch and refreshments.

Monday 13th October - Course 3 Dissection Clinic. The distal limb, looking underneath the skin. Introduction to dissection techniques. Ideal for interested owners, vet and equine science students. Cost £100 including lunch and refreshments.
